Your voice matters in creating a greener, cooler, more accessible city
This research survey explores citizen priorities for green space development in Klagenfurt. Your input will help identify which areas need green infrastructure most urgently.
Time: 5-7 minutes | Learn more about this research
Study area: This study focuses on the Klagenfurt agglomeration area shown in the map. We welcome responses from all Klagenfurt and Klagenfurt Land residents. Your perspective on green spaces matters, no matter where you live.
Imagine you are part of an advisory board for the Ministry of Environment. As a citizen, you are asked to recommend which areas of Klagenfurt need green spaces most urgently. Consider various factors based on your experience and think about the needs of all residents across the city.
This information sheet provides details of a research project on the health impact of green areas in urban environments in which we propose you participate. Please take time to read this information carefully and ask any questions you consider necessary. Before deciding whether to participate, you may consult with anyone you deem appropriate.
Your input is invaluable because residents like you best understand your city and can provide the richest information about where green space interventions are most needed. Your participation will help us understand how different factors within the city influence the necessity of increasing greenery. Each city is different, therefore, their needs are also different. That's why we need to better understand the daily life of citizens, the main challenges and preferences. This comprehensive approach will enable us to recommend greening strategies that address the diverse needs of all city residents, rather than focusing on a single demographic group.
We seek participants who live in Klagenfurt or the Klagenfurt Land representing different neighbourhoods, ages, genders, and backgrounds. This diversity ensures our findings reflect the full spectrum of urban residents' perspectives.
The study is conducted by the Barcelona Institute for Global Health (ISGlobal) in collaboration with the Go Green Next Project and Carinthia University of Applied Sciences (CUAS). This study has been approved by the Ethics Committee of the GGN project, as well as ISGlobal Campus Mar, in accordance with current legislation (Biomedical Research Law 14/2007).
